The Israeli military announced that it has launched coordinated strikes targeting infrastructure in three Iranian cities: Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz.

In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the attacks are aimed at what it described as “terror infrastructure belonging to the Iranian regime.”

“The IDF has begun a series of extensive strikes targeting terror infrastructure of the Iranian regime in Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz,” the statement said.

The conflict involving Israel, Iran, and the United States began on February 28, 2026. Israel’s Ministry of Health reported that 3,369 people, including civilians and soldiers, have been injured since the fighting started.

Meanwhile, Bahrain said it has intercepted and destroyed 129 missiles and 215 drones since the conflict began in the Middle East, with two people reported dead from the attacks.

On the morning of March 16, 2026, Iran also launched multiple missiles toward Israel, but many were intercepted in the air. Debris from the missiles reportedly fell in the cities of Shoham, Rishon LeZion, Lod, and Ness Ziona near Tel Aviv.

Iran also carried out a drone attack in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Fujairah is located near Oman and close to the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic route through which about 20% of the world’s oil supplies pass, making it a critical hub for global energy trade.
