Bruno Fernandes crowned Premier League player of the season
Bruno Fernandes has been named the Premier League Player of the Season, edging out strong competition including Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice after a standout campaign for Manchester United this season.
The Portuguese playmaker was a key figure in United’s push for a top-four finish, delivering consistent match-winning performances and setting a new benchmark for creativity in the Premier League. Currently Bruno holds a league-high 20 assists, equaling the Premier League single-season assist record previously held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, while also contributing goals and leading chances created across the division.
Declan Rice, meanwhile, was widely seen as one of Fernandes’ main rivals for the award after another influential season at Arsenal. The England international played a central role in Arsenal’s title quest, combining defensive solidity with progressive passing and leadership in midfield.
Fernandes secures his first Premier League player of the season award after scoring 8 goals and assisting 20 times breaking the record for most single-season assist record which was previously held by Premier league legends Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
