A report by the New York Post claims that Ivanka Trump was allegedly targeted in an assassination plot linked to an Iraqi operative connected to Iran’s terrorist group Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to the report, the suspect identified as Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, allegedly planned the attack as revenge for the 2020 U.S. drone strike that killed Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.

The suspect was reportedly arrested in Turkey on May 15 before being extradited to the United States. Sources cited by the Post allege that investigators found maps and references to Ivanka Trump’s Florida residence, along with threatening social media posts directed at the Trump family.

The case appears connected to broader tensions between the United States and Iran following the killing of Soleimani in Baghdad in January 2020, an operation ordered by Donald Trump.

Some reports also claim Al-Saadi is linked to the Iran-backed Iraqi militia Kata’ib Hezbollah and may have been involved in multiple attacks targeting American and Jewish sites in Europe and North America.
