Yango Group and RDB Sign partnership agreement on digital mobility
Global technology company Yango Group, headquartered in Dubai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) to explore opportunities in Rwanda’s technology-driven transport sector.
The agreement was signed on May 15, 2026, in Kigali, reflecting the commitment of both parties to promote innovative mobility solutions, support digital transformation, and strengthen Rwanda’s transport ecosystem.
Under the agreement, Yango Group and RDB will collaborate in areas including investment facilitation, discussions on regulatory frameworks, and the exploration of modern urban mobility solutions powered by technology.
Speaking after the signing, Yango Group Chief Business Officer, Adeniyi Adebayo, said Rwanda continues to position itself as a growing digital economy with strong potential for technology-enabled services.
“Rwanda is a country with a rapidly growing digital economy and a clear interest in embracing technology-based services,” he said.
He added that the partnership will help Yango engage with different stakeholders while gaining a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s mobility sector.
“Through this collaboration, we look forward to engaging with various stakeholders and learning more about how Rwanda’s transport ecosystem operates,” Adebayo noted.
Yango Group currently operates in several countries around the world, offering services including ride-hailing, delivery, entertainment, and other digital solutions.
However, the company noted that any future launch of its services in Rwanda will depend on obtaining the necessary approvals, permits, and compliance with all applicable regulations set by the relevant authorities.
